Carrot is a naturally grown root vegetable valued for its crisp texture, mild sweetness and versatility in everyday cooking. Our carrots are sourced from various farming families in and around Bengaluru, Karnataka, who follow traditional and indigenous farming practices.
As with all our fresh vegetables, the actual farmer, growing area, variety and harvest may vary depending on the season and availability.
Carrots are harvested from the soil and supplied as a fresh agricultural product. Natural differences in size, shape, colour and sweetness can occur from one harvest to another.
Benefits of Using
Carrots are naturally a good source of:
- Beta-carotene, which the body can convert into vitamin A.

- Vitamin K1, a nutrient naturally present in carrots.
- Potassium, an essential mineral found in many vegetables.
- Carrots are naturally low in fat and can be included in a variety of balanced meals.
- Their natural colour and mild sweetness make them useful in both savoury and sweet preparations.
These are general nutritional characteristics and are not medical claims.

Natural Freshness & Shelf Life
Carrots are fresh root vegetables and naturally lose moisture after harvesting. Depending on the harvest, storage conditions and temperature, they may gradually:
- Lose their crispness
- Become slightly soft or limp
- Develop minor surface dryness
- Show natural changes in colour or texture
- Develop small sprouts or shoots if stored for an extended period
These are natural changes in a fresh vegetable and do not necessarily indicate that the carrot was poor quality when supplied.
Why Carrots May Spoil
Carrots are perishable agricultural produce. Their shelf life is affected by:
- Temperature and humidity
- Moisture accumulation
- Length of storage
- Physical damage during handling
- Natural microbial activity
- Storage alongside unsuitable produce
We rely on proper harvesting, handling, storage and natural preservation practices, rather than chemical preservatives to artificially extend the shelf life of fresh vegetables.
Because carrots are naturally handled fresh produce, they should be stored properly after delivery and preferably consumed while fresh.
Storage
For better freshness:
- Refrigerate carrots after receiving them.
- Keep them dry and avoid unnecessary moisture.
- If the carrots are supplied with leafy tops, removing the tops can help reduce moisture loss from the root.
- Store in a suitable vegetable bag or container with some ventilation.
- Do not store wet carrots in a tightly sealed container.
- Keep away from vegetables or fruits that release significant amounts of ethylene if possible.
- Remove any damaged carrot promptly so it does not affect the others.
- Wash before use rather than washing the entire batch before long-term storage.
Natural Variation
Since carrots are naturally grown root vegetables, you may notice differences in:
- Length and thickness
- Shape and tapering
- Colour intensity
- Surface texture
- Straightness or curvature
- Sweetness
- Firmness
- Weight and size
These variations are normal characteristics of agricultural produce and can differ according to variety, soil, season, weather and harvesting conditions.
Replacement Policy
Generally, fresh vegetables are not eligible for replacement because of normal natural variation or ordinary spoilage that occurs after delivery.
Differences in size, shape, colour, firmness or natural appearance are considered normal characteristics of fresh carrots.
If there is a genuine quality issue that was already present at the time of delivery, please provide clear photographs and the relevant order details. The matter can then be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Our Commitment
We aim to provide carrots sourced through our network of farming families in and around Bengaluru, Karnataka, using traditional and indigenous farming practices.
Fresh vegetables are influenced by the variety, season, soil, weather, harvesting time and storage conditions. We believe customers should understand these natural characteristics rather than expect every piece of fresh produce to look identical.
Know the farmer. Know the source. Understand the food. Store it properly. Enjoy it fresh.
