Fennel Seeds are aromatic seeds known for their naturally sweet, fresh and slightly liquorice-like flavour. They are widely used in Indian cooking and traditional food preparations.
Our Fennel Seeds are sourced through various farming families in India, depending on seasonal crop availability. We prefer traditional agricultural varieties and retain the natural character of the seeds.
Our Sourcing & Farming Approach
Different crops require different soil, climate and growing conditions. Therefore, our spices and seeds may come from different farming families and regions in India.
We focus on traditional/indigenous agricultural practices and do not intentionally adulterate our products.
The actual farmer/source may vary from batch to batch depending on crop availability.
We do not represent the product as certified organic unless the applicable certification is available.
Why Can Storage Pests Appear?
Fennel Seeds are a natural agricultural product. Under warm and humid storage conditions, occasional storage insects or pests may appear.
Storage pests can sometimes be present in agricultural products before they become visible and may develop during storage.
The presence of an occasional storage insect does not automatically mean that the product has been adulterated.
We prefer natural handling and storage practices rather than relying on chemical pest-control treatments to prevent every possible storage insect. Therefore, occasional storage pests can occur in naturally handled agricultural products.
How to Store Fennel Seeds
For better storage after receiving the product:
- Transfer to a clean, completely dry, airtight container.
- Store in a cool and dry place.
- Protect from humidity and moisture.
- Keep away from direct sunlight and heat.
- Always use a clean, dry spoon.
- Check periodically, especially during warm and humid weather.
- Clean and completely dry the container before adding a new batch.
About Fungus & White Worms
Exposure to moisture or unsuitable storage conditions can result in fungal growth/mould or insect larvae (white worms).
These are different from occasional storage insects.
We generally do not replace Fennel Seeds for normal natural variation or occasional storage insects.
However, if the product shows visible fungus/mould, white worms/larvae or significant deterioration, please contact us with clear photographs and your order details so that we can review the issue.
