About Cabbage
Cabbage is a leafy vegetable made up of tightly packed layers of fresh leaves. It is widely used in Indian cooking and can be prepared in simple everyday dishes as well as traditional recipes.
Our Cabbage is sourced through relationships with various farming families in and around Bengaluru, Karnataka, using traditional natural farming and indigenous agricultural practices. The actual farmer and source may vary from batch to batch depending on seasonal availability.
We use natural handling and preservation methods rather than relying on chemical preservatives to artificially extend the shelf life of fresh vegetables.

Natural Freshness & Shelf Life
Cabbage is a fresh and perishable vegetable. After harvesting, it naturally continues to lose moisture and freshness.
You may notice:
- Outer leaves becoming slightly dry
- Minor leaf marks
- Gradual loss of crispness
- Moisture loss
- Slight changes in colour
- Softening of leaves during prolonged storage
The outer leaves may naturally show more changes than the inner leaves. For the best texture, use Cabbage while it is fresh and firm.
Why Cabbage May Spoil Faster
Fresh vegetables naturally deteriorate with time, particularly in warm and humid conditions. We do not rely on chemical preservatives to artificially extend the shelf life of fresh vegetables.
Therefore, Cabbage may sometimes show natural drying, softening or deterioration sooner than commercially treated or differently handled produce. This is a natural characteristic of fresh vegetables and does not automatically indicate poor quality.
Storage
For better freshness:
- Refrigerate Cabbage after receiving it.
- Keep the head dry and avoid unnecessary moisture.
- Do not wash the whole cabbage until you are ready to use it.
- Store it in the vegetable section of the refrigerator.
- Remove only the outer leaves that are damaged or dried.
- If cut, wrap or cover the remaining portion and refrigerate.
- Use cut cabbage sooner than an intact cabbage.
Natural Variation
Cabbage may naturally vary in:
- Size
- Weight
- Shape
- Leaf thickness
- Green colour intensity
- Firmness
- Compactness of the head
- Minor outer-leaf marks
These differences can occur naturally due to variety, season, weather, soil conditions and harvesting stage.
Replacement Policy
Generally, fresh vegetables are not eligible for replacement because of normal natural variation or ordinary spoilage after delivery.
Differences in size, weight, shape, colour, minor outer-leaf marks, natural moisture loss or softening during storage are considered normal characteristics of fresh produce.
If there is a genuine quality issue that was already present at the time of delivery, please contact us with clear photographs and your order details. Each case will be reviewed individually.
Our Commitment

Our aim is to provide naturally handled fresh vegetables sourced through farmer relationships while helping customers understand the real characteristics and limitations of fresh farm produce.
