About Lady Fingers
Lady Fingers, commonly known as Okra or Bhindi, are a fresh vegetable cultivated by various farming families in and around Bengaluru, Karnataka.
Our vegetables are sourced through farmer relationships and cultivated using traditional natural farming and indigenous agricultural practices. The actual farmer and source may vary from batch to batch depending on seasonal availability.
We use natural handling and preservation methods rather than relying on chemical preservatives to artificially extend the shelf life of fresh vegetables.
Benefits of Using
Lady Fingers are a versatile vegetable with useful nutritional qualities:

- Contains naturally occurring plant compounds, including antioxidants.
- The natural mucilage in okra gives it its characteristic slightly sticky texture and is useful in gravies and curries.
- Can be prepared in many traditional Indian dishes.
These are general nutritional characteristics and are not medical claims.

Natural Freshness & Shelf Life
Lady Fingers are a fresh, highly perishable vegetable. After harvesting, they naturally continue to lose moisture and freshness.
You may notice:
- Gradual loss of firmness
- Slight darkening at cut ends
- Surface marks or minor blemishes
- Changes in colour
- Increased softness when stored for longer periods
Fresh okra is best consumed soon after delivery.
Why Lady Fingers May Spoil Faster
Fresh vegetables naturally deteriorate with time, particularly in warm and humid conditions. We do not rely on chemical preservatives to artificially extend the shelf life of our fresh vegetables.
Therefore, Lady Fingers may sometimes show natural changes sooner than commercially treated or differently handled produce. This does not automatically indicate poor quality.
Storage
For better freshness:
- Refrigerate Lady Fingers after receiving them.
- Keep them dry and avoid excess moisture.
- Do not wash them until you are ready to cook.
- Store in a clean, dry vegetable bag or container with suitable ventilation.
- Avoid keeping damaged or cut pieces together with fresh ones.
- Use the freshest-looking pieces first.
Natural Variation
Because Lady Fingers are naturally grown agricultural produce, variation can occur in:
- Size
- Length
- Shape
- Colour
- Tenderness
- Firmness
- Skin texture
- Minor surface marks
These differences can occur naturally due to variety, season, weather, soil conditions and harvesting stage.
Replacement Policy
Generally, fresh vegetables are not eligible for replacement because of normal natural variation or ordinary spoilage after delivery.
Examples include differences in size, minor surface marks, natural softening, moisture loss or deterioration caused by storage after delivery.
If there is a genuine quality issue that was already present at the time of delivery, please contact us with clear photographs and your order details. Each case will be reviewed individually.
Our Commitment
Fresh vegetables are not factory-made products. Their appearance, firmness, size and shelf life can naturally vary according to the season, weather, soil, harvesting and handling conditions.
Our aim is to bring you vegetables sourced through farmer relationships and handled naturally, while helping customers understand the real characteristics and limitations of fresh farm produce.
Know the farmer. Know the source. Understand the food. Store it properly. Enjoy it fresh.
