Jave Godhi Wheat Suji is made from traditional Jave Godhi wheat, coarsely milled into suji (semolina). It is suitable for a variety of traditional Indian breakfast dishes, snacks and everyday preparations.

At Sampoorna Swadesi, we focus on knowing the source of our grains and maintaining relationships with farming families in India.

From Wheat Grain to Suji

Our Jave Godhi wheat is sourced through farming families in India. Traditional wheat varieties may be cultivated in different regions depending on soil, climate and seasonal availability.

The wheat is cleaned and coarsely milled to produce Jave Godhi Wheat Suji, giving it the characteristic grainy texture of suji.

The actual farmer and source may vary by batch depending on crop availability and sourcing.

Our Approach

  • Made from traditional Jave Godhi wheat
  • Sourced through farming families in India
  • Traditional/indigenous grain
  • Unpolished grain used as the raw material
  • No intentional adulteration
  • Naturally handled and stored
  • Coarsely milled into suji

We do not claim organic certification. Our focus is on knowing the farmer, knowing the land and understanding where our food comes from.

Common Uses

Jave Godhi Wheat Suji can be used for:

  • Wheat suji upma
  • Vegetable upma
  • Suji dosa
  • Suji idli
  • Rava-style breakfast preparations
  • Halwa
  • Laddoo
  • Traditional snacks
  • Pancakes
  • Sweet and savoury preparations

Why Can Black Storage Pests Appear?

Traditionally handled grains and suji can occasionally develop small black storage insects or pests, particularly in warm and humid conditions.

Their presence does not automatically indicate adulteration.

Because we focus on natural handling and storage practices rather than relying on chemical pest-control treatments, occasional storage pests can occur.

Tiny insect eggs or larvae can sometimes be present in stored grains and may not be visible during processing. Under favourable conditions, they may develop later.

How to Store Wheat Suji

For better storage:

  • Transfer into a clean, completely dry airtight container.
  • Store in a cool, dry place.
  • Protect from moisture and humidity.
  • Always use a clean, dry spoon.
  • Do not mix newly purchased suji with an older batch.
  • Check before cooking.
  • Refrigeration can help maintain freshness and reduce storage pest activity.

Our Replacement Policy

As this is a traditionally handled grain product, normal variation in colour, texture or occasional storage insects does not automatically qualify for replacement.

However, if you notice a genuine quality issue such as:

  • Visible fungus or mould
  • White worms or larvae
  • Significant deterioration
  • Strong abnormal odour
  • Other serious quality concerns

please contact us with clear photographs and your order details so that we can review the issue.
