Jave godhi Wheat Flour is made from carefully selected unpolished, traditional wheat grains sourced through our network of farming families.
At Sampoorna Swadesi, we believe flour should retain the natural character of the grain. We therefore use unpolished and indigenous/traditional grains for our flours and avoid adulteration.
Our Flour – From Grain to Flour
Our flours are made from grains and pulses cultivated by different farming families.
Different crops require different soil, climate and growing conditions, so we source suitable grains from different farmers and locations.
For our flour range, we focus on:
- Unpolished grains
- Traditional / indigenous varieties
- Careful selection of grains
- Milling the grain into flour
- No intentional adulteration
Because we use naturally handled grains, the colour, aroma, texture and appearance of the flour can vary slightly between batches.
Why You May Occasionally See Black Storage Pests
Customers may occasionally notice small black storage insects/pests in naturally handled grains and flours.
We want our customers to understand that the occasional presence of a storage insect does not automatically mean that the product has been adulterated.
Stored grains can naturally attract insects, especially in warm and humid conditions. They may become visible only after some time.
Because we do not rely on chemical pest-control treatments as a preservation method, occasional storage pests can occur.
Proper Storage
After opening:
- Keep the flour in a clean, dry, airtight container.
- Store it in a cool, dry place.
- Protect it from moisture.
- Always use a clean, dry spoon.
- Check the flour before use.
What Makes Our Javegodhi Wheat Flour Different?
Our approach is centred around the grain itself.
We use unpolished, traditional/indigenous wheat grains rather than heavily processed or polished grain as the raw material.
This helps retain the natural character of the wheat in the flour.
You may notice natural differences in:
- Colour
- Aroma
- Texture
- Fineness
- Dough consistency
These can vary depending on the grain and milling batch.
How to Use Javegodhi Wheat Flour
Javegodhi Wheat Flour can be used for everyday preparations such as:
- Chapati
- Roti
- Phulka
- Paratha
- Poori
- Wheat-based breads
- Other traditional wheat recipes
The water requirement and dough texture may vary slightly from batch to batch because the flour is made from naturally variable grains.
Our Approach to Preservation
We prefer natural handling and storage practices rather than depending on chemical preservatives.
For this reason, proper storage by the customer is also important.
Once opened, keep the flour tightly sealed and protected from moisture, heat and humidity.
Replacement Policy
We generally do not replace flour for normal natural variation or occasional storage insects.
However, if you notice a genuine quality problem such as:
- Visible fungus or mould
- White worms/larvae
- Significant deterioration of the flour
please contact us with clear photographs and your order details. The issue will be reviewed and replacement will be considered where appropriate.

We work with farming families and source different grains according to their suitability, traditional varieties and availability.
Our focus is on bringing unpolished, traditional grains and naturally handled foods to our customers while maintaining a connection with the source.
