About Lemon
Lemon is a fresh citrus fruit widely used in Indian cooking for its natural sourness, aroma and refreshing flavour. It is an everyday kitchen ingredient used in beverages, curries, chutneys, pickles and traditional recipes.
Our Lemons are sourced through relationships with various farming families in and around Bengaluru, Karnataka, using traditional natural farming and indigenous agricultural practices. The actual farmer and source may vary from batch to batch depending on seasonal availability.
We use natural handling and preservation methods rather than relying on chemical preservatives to artificially extend the shelf life of fresh produce.

Natural Freshness & Shelf Life
Lemons are fresh agricultural produce and naturally change after harvesting.
You may notice:
- Gradual loss of firmness
- Skin becoming slightly softer or wrinkled
- Natural colour variation
- Moisture loss
- Changes in juiciness
- Minor surface marks
As lemons age, they may gradually become less juicy. For the best flavour and juice content, use them while they are fresh and firm.
Why Lemons May Spoil Faster
Fresh produce naturally deteriorates with time, particularly in warm and humid conditions. We do not rely on chemical preservatives to artificially extend the shelf life of fresh produce.
Therefore, lemons may sometimes soften, wrinkle or deteriorate during storage. This is a natural characteristic of fresh produce and does not automatically indicate poor quality.
Storage
For better freshness:
- Store Lemons in a cool, dry place if using them within a short period.
- Refrigeration can help extend freshness for longer storage.
- Keep them dry and avoid excess moisture.
- Do not wash until you are ready to use them.
- Remove damaged or spoiled lemons promptly.
- Avoid storing spoiled fruit together with fresh lemons.
Natural Variation
Lemons may naturally vary in:
- Size
- Shape
- Skin colour
- Skin thickness
- Firmness
- Juiciness
- Sourness
- Seed quantity
- Minor surface marks
These differences can occur naturally due to variety, season, weather, soil conditions and harvesting stage.
Replacement Policy
Generally, fresh produce is not eligible for replacement because of normal natural variation or ordinary spoilage after delivery.
Differences in size, shape, colour, sourness, juiciness, minor surface marks or natural moisture loss during storage are considered normal characteristics of fresh produce.
If there is a genuine quality issue that was already present at the time of delivery, please contact us with clear photographs and your order details. Each case will be reviewed individually.
Our Commitment
Lemons are a natural agricultural product whose size, juiciness, sourness, appearance and shelf life can vary according to variety, season, weather, soil, harvesting and storage conditions.
Our aim is to provide naturally handled fresh produce sourced through farmer relationships while helping customers understand the real characteristics and proper storage of fresh farm produce.
