Carrot Fryumes are a traditional-style dried preparation made using Carrot, Rice Flour, Green Chilly and Ginger . The ingredients are combined into a prepared mixture, shaped into fryumes and naturally dried before packing.
Once dried, they can be fried in hot oil to make a crispy and crunchy accompaniment for traditional Indian meals.
Ingredients
Carrot, Rice Flour, Green Chilly, Ginger
Our Ingredients & Sourcing Approach
We use traditional/indigenous varieties of grains and pulses wherever applicable. The rice used for the rice flour and the Moong Dal are sourced through various farming families and agricultural sources in India.
We prefer unpolished, traditional/indigenous grains and pulses and do not intentionally adulterate our products or add undeclared ingredients.
The actual farmer/source may vary from batch to batch depending on seasonal availability and sourcing.
We do not represent the product as certified organic unless the applicable certification is available.
Traditional Preparation
Carrot is prepared and combined with rice flour, moong dal, green chilli and ginger to make the fryume mixture. The mixture is then shaped into small portions and thoroughly dried.
Traditional drying helps reduce moisture and prepares the fryumes for storage and later frying.
How to Prepare
- Heat cooking oil properly.
- Add the required quantity of dried Carrot Fryumes.
- Fry until they become crisp and lightly golden.
- Remove and drain excess oil.
- Serve as a crispy accompaniment with your meal.
Common Ways to Serve

Natural Characteristics
As a traditionally prepared dried food product, Carrot Fryumes may naturally vary in:
- Size and shape
- Colour
- Thickness
- Texture
- Carrot flavour
- Ginger and chilli intensity
- Crispness after frying
The natural colour of the carrot may also vary between batches.
Storage & Storage Pests
Because these are naturally dried food products, proper storage is important.
Warm and humid conditions can sometimes lead to storage insects or pests in dried food products. The presence of an occasional storage pest does not automatically mean that the product has been adulterated.
We prefer natural handling and storage practices rather than relying on chemical pest-control treatments to prevent every possible storage insect.
For best storage:
- Store in a clean, completely dry, airtight container.
- Keep away from moisture and humidity.
- Store in a cool, dry place.
- Keep away from direct sunlight and heat.
- Always use a clean, dry spoon or utensil.
- Do not allow water or moisture to enter the container.
About Fungus & White Worms
Exposure to moisture or unsuitable storage conditions can result in fungal growth/mould or insect larvae (white worms).
We generally do not replace the product for normal natural variation or occasional storage insects.
However, if you receive a product showing visible fungus/mould, white worms/larvae or significant deterioration, please contact us with clear photographs and your order details so that we can review the issue.
