Green Gram Flour, also known as Moong Flour or Mung Bean Flour, is made by milling green gram into a fine flour. It can be used in a variety of traditional Indian recipes, snacks and everyday preparations.
At Sampoorna Swadesi, we focus on knowing the source of our food and maintaining relationships with farming families in India.
From Green Gram to Flour
Our green gram is sourced through our network of farming families in India. Since different crops require different soil and climatic conditions, we work with different farmers depending on the crop and seasonal availability.
The green gram is traditionally cultivated, carefully handled and milled into flour.
The actual farmer/source may vary by batch depending on crop availability and sourcing.
Our Farming Approach
- Traditional/indigenous green gram
- Traditional natural farming practices
- No intentional adulteration
- Direct sourcing through farming families
- Natural preservation and storage practices
- We do not rely on chemical preservatives for preservation
We do not claim organic certification. Our focus is on knowing the farmer, knowing the land and understanding how the food is grown.
What is Green Gram Flour?

It is a versatile flour that can be used in both sweet and savoury traditional preparations.

About Natural Storage Insects
Grains and flours can occasionally develop storage insects or small black pests, particularly when stored in warm and humid conditions.
Their presence does not automatically indicate adulteration. Because we follow natural preservation and storage practices rather than relying on chemical pest-control treatments, occasional storage pests may occur.
For best storage at home:
- Transfer the flour into a clean, dry, airtight container.
- Store in a cool, dry place.
- Keep away from moisture and humidity.
- Always use a clean, dry spoon.
- Check the flour before use.
- Refrigeration can help maintain freshness for longer storage.
Replacement Policy
Normal natural variation in colour or texture, or occasional storage insects, does not by itself qualify for replacement.
However, if you receive a product with a genuine quality issue, such as:
- Visible fungus or mould
- White worms/larvae
- Significant deterioration
- Other serious quality concerns
please contact us with clear photographs and your order details so that we can review the issue.
